Our client is seeking a Contract and Procurement Specialist to lead structured procurement processes for construction and construction‑related services supporting major capital projects. This senior individual‑contributor role partners closely with internal project teams to design effective sourcing strategies and execute competitive procurement through contract award. The ideal candidate will bring strong procurement and sourcing experience in regulated or public‑sector environments, familiarity with construction and capital project delivery models, and the ability to manage complex procurement files with structure, clarity, and defensibility. Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business priorities and translate them into effective procurement strategies Lead end‑to‑end RFx processes from sourcing strategy through award recommendation Recommend appropriate procurement and sourcing methods aligned with policy and delegated authority Develop procurement documentation including sourcing plans, RFQ/RFP packages, schedules, and supplier communications Work with project teams to refine scopes of work for clarity, measurability, and deliverability Support contract formation by ensuring award decisions and negotiated terms are accurately reflected in contract documents Coordinate internal reviews and approvals to ensure governance and compliance requirements are met Provide procurement support for contract amendments, including documentation and approval coordination Improve procurement templates, evaluation tools, and standard work to increase efficiency and consistency Collaborate with procurement colleagues and support shifting priorities across the team Your strengths include: Post‑secondary education in business, supply chain, construction management, project management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience 4+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or vendor management Professional procurement designation (such as SCMP, MCIPS, NISCL or equivalent) considered an asset Experience in public sector, broader public sector, or other regulated procurement environments Knowledge of construction contracting fundamentals and delivery models Demonstrated ability to develop procurement strategies, draft RFx materials, lead evaluations, and support negotiations Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning procurement or ERP systems Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and a structured approach to documentation and record‑keeping Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams and external partners #J-18808-Ljbffr
