Senior Electrical Engineer – Substations We are currently looking for aSenior Electrical Engineer, Substationsto join our dynamic Energy and Resources team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering innovative and sustainable solutions for substation and renewable energy projects across Canada.ResponsibilitiesAct as the main technical lead and client-facing representative, quarterbacking project delivery and facilitating key internal and external stakeholder discussions.Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams for full substation project delivery, including civil, structural, protection & control, SCADA, and telecommunications.Proven ability to mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a high-performing and collaborative team culture.Design electrical systems and create technical specifications for substation and balance of plant equipment.Prepare detailed plans and specifications for HV/MV substation projects.Provide engineering expertise for electrical installations in Utility substations, as well as wind, solar, and battery energy storage projects.Write and review technical reports, engineering assessments, and design documentation.Ensure design compliance with industry standards, codes, and client requirements.Collaborate with internal teams and clients to deliver optimized and high-quality engineering solutions.Occasionally travel to project sites for inspections, assessments, and client interactions.QualificationsMinimum 15 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, with a strong focus on substation and renewable energy systems.Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in good standing.
