Location Main Office St NWEdmonton, AB T5S0B3, CAN About the Role Reporting to the marketing manager as Content Specialist, you’ll play a key role in developing creative and original content across a variety of platforms, including, but not limited to, social media, print materials, and video channels. You’ll collaborate with cross‑functional teams to bring fresh ideas and engage our prospects, customers, and community with consistent and captivating content. Video Production (From Start to Finish) Uses strong editorial judgment and multimedia production skills to create high-quality, engaging content across formats—written stories, audio, video, and photography—for use across a broad range of platforms to support the company’s goal. Independently identifies, plans, and executes video shoots (camera, lighting, audio). Visits job sites to film project videos, testimonial videos, product videos, showroom videos, trade show videos, staff content. Must be able to coordinate with internal teams on video and photography projects. Edits video content for web, social, short‑form social (cutting, audio, colour, basic motion graphics). Delivers final assets in platform‑ready formats. Content Design & Development Creates engaging, high‑quality multimedia on‑brand content that drives website traffic and enhances brand awareness. This includes, but is not limited to, blog (written & video), reels, stories, and short videos that are optimised for YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn. Collaborates with marketing team to ensure all content aligns with brand standards, quality requirements, and strategic objectives. Manages content calendars and ensures timely delivery of content across all platforms. Graphic Design & Brand Enhancement Creates visually appealing graphics for direct‑mail flyers, brochures, catalogues, billboards, signs and other marketing materials to maintain cohesive brand aesthetics. Supports branding efforts through innovative and on‑brand visual materials. Stays current with video and design best practices, emerging trends, and industry standards to suggest innovative approaches. Keeps a finger on the pulse of customer feedback, manages online reviews, and ensures a positive online presence. Collaborates with the marketing team to ensure design consistency across all channels and materials. Supports overall brand positioning efforts and contributes to organisational growth initiatives. Analyzes content performance using metrics and adjusts strategies as needed for optimisation. Performs all other related reasonable duties and responsibilities. Qualifications Proven experience in the content creation field, such as videographer, graphic designer, or a similar role. Experience with social media, or local business marketing. Strong writing, video‑editing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail. Familiarity with video best practices on social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn). Must be able to understand, interpret and report on social media and YouTube analytics. Knowing what works, what doesn’t work, testing, how videos should be laid out and presented is an absolute must. Proficiency with graphic design and video editing tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.). Experience using AI video generation. Ability to generate creative ideas and execute them effectively. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to adapt to changing trends and technology. Preferred Qualifications A minimum of three years graphic design and video production editing experience (using tools like Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or other industry‑standard software). Ability to understand the needs and requirements of all forms of digital, print and large‑format media in both CMYK and RGB colour space. Must be able to produce videos that showcase products in a high‑quality setting. Knowledge of copywriting for marketing or advertising purposes. A keen interest in marketing and a willingness to dive into various tasks. Ready to wear multiple hats and take on diverse responsibilities. Eager to learn, grow, and stay updated on design trends and marketing strategies. Thrives in a collaborative environment and contributes positively to team dynamics.
