Job Title Head of Airframe Engineering – Standards, Surfaces and Assembly (f/m) Overview Do you have solid experience in aerostructures and engineering standards, have you worked in the aerospace industry or in the field of materials and processes, and would you like to progress and develop new skills? Then this job is for you! The A220 commercial aircraft Programme seeks a leader to join our Materials & Processes, Airframe team based in Mirabel, Québec, Canada. Responsibilities Manage engineering team performance to ensure deliverables are met on time, within budget, and to quality standards. Define and deploy a sustainability and environmental strategy for the A220 aircraft, collaborating with Airbus European counterparts. Engage with global engineering teams and stakeholders to achieve program objectives for cost reduction, ramp‑up, and customer satisfaction. Act as a change agent to integrate the A220 program, deploy hardware standardisation processes, and create engineering manuals. Lead the multidisciplinary team using KPIs, implementing corrective actions, and fostering team growth through performance assessments. Cultivate an environment that promotes excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement within a multi‑disciplined operation. Apply and improve Airbus standards and best practices leveraging A220 benchmark lessons learned and Airbus Commercial standards. Identify new business opportunities by outsourcing recurring, repetitive, or low value‑added engineering activities. Qualifications Degree level in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience. Minimum 8 years of experience in engineering standards or design‑related activities. Knowledge of aerospace environmental regulations such as REACH and R&D activities, including Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) usage. Proficiency in aircraft program development and sustaining engineering activities. Strong project management skills, able to prioritise effectively and align team members towards meeting commitments. Recognised leadership skills demonstrating the ability to build, inspire, and steer a cross‑functional team in a changing environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, resourceful, and able to simplify complex issues. Advanced level of English and French (oral and written).
