The Pipeline Integrity Engineer will be based in the Calgary office working in the Operations Engineering group. The position reports to the Team Lead, Asset Integrity. The incumbent will support the safe and reliable operation of pipelines in Saskatchewan, Manitoba and North Dakota. Extensive experience with CSA standards is required. Familiarity with U.S. pipeline codes and regulations, would be considered assets but are not required.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare engineering assessments in accordance with CSA Z662Perform and document pipeline inventory and risk assessment processesRecommend pipeline inspection activities such as ILI’s and digs, and interpret resultsSupport the planning and execution of pipeline inspections and provide repair recommendationsProvide day to day support to field operations on integrity related issues and programsCoordinate corrosion management programs, including cathodic protection and chemical inhibitionPrepare applications and amendments for submission to an internal regulatory department to maintain complianceParticipate in business development opportunities, providing support as it pertains to pipeline assetsAssist in the development and continuous improvement of integrity management programsDevelop and oversee pipeline abandonment programsMaintain and enhance Steel Reef pipeline inventory datasets, this includes internal schematics, and external graphical data bases like GDM and ABADATAReview and approve third party pipeline crossing and proximity agreementsTravel to field locations as requiredRequired Skills, Experience, & EducationRegistered Professional Engineer or Technologist in good standing with a provincial association5 to 10 years of relevant pipeline integrity experience within oil and gas operationsNACE and or API certifications are considered an assetProven ability to plan, coordinate, and execute projects with a strong focus on safetyUnderstanding of pipeline threats, including internal and external corrosion, cracking, and geohazardsFamiliarity with applicable regulators such as MER, CER, M-PUB, and PHMSAWorking knowledge of applicable pipeline and pressure equipment codes, including CSA, ASME, and APIExperience with GIS systems and mapping softwareAbility and willingness to make timely, sound technical decisions and recommendationsComfortable presenting information and facilitating discussions with diverse stakeholdersCollaborative team player with a strong focus on supporting field operationsWillingness to travel regularly to operating sitesAbility to travel to the United States for business as requiredValid driver’s licenseWhy Join our TeamCompetitive compensation and bonus programsCompetitive benefit package, including a Flex Spending Account and Savings Plan matchingMonthly phone allowance8 hours of annual paid Volunteer time to support the communities in which we operateTeam building activitiesVarious recognition reward programs including long-term service awards and value-based awardsAbility to contribute to a dynamic organization with large growth ambitions#J-18808-Ljbffr
