Job Title: IT Systems Administrator On behalf of our financial services client, Procom is searching for an IT Systems Administrator for a permanent role. This position is onsite at our client’s Toronto, Ontario office. Job Description We are seeking a highly responsible, hands‑on IT Systems & Infrastructure Administrator to manage and continually improve our technology environment. This role involves managing core infrastructure, supporting business‑critical systems, and collaborating with a results‑driven team of traders and business users. Responsibilities Hardware Management: Hands‑on experience with cabling, workstation and server hardware. Developing, maintaining and following configuration standards, as well as configuring and maintaining NAS devices, printers, and scanners. Network Administration: Strong expertise in managing switches, routers, LAN/WAN/Wi‑Fi networks, and supporting a distributed site‑to‑site VPN infrastructure, including dial‑in VPN setups. Knowledge of routing protocols, security measures, vendor solutions and monitoring concepts. Windows & Linux Server Administration: Proficiency in Active Directory, Group Policies, File Servers, DNS, DHCP and other critical infrastructure services and automations. Security & Compliance: Implementation and management of security policies, secure protocols, patch management, vulnerability assessments, backup strategies and business‑continuity / disaster‑recovery planning. Scripting & Automation: Experience with Python, PowerShell and Bash for automation and system‑management tasks. Cloud & Enterprise Software Solutions: Exposure to cloud‑based solutions and experience researching, implementing and maintaining business‑critical software, including CRM, ERP, ticketing, inventory, remote control, endpoint protection and other systems. Knowledge of hosted email, MDM and corporate website support. Regulatory Compliance & Industry Standards: Experience with financial regulatory requirements and compliance is highly desirable. End‑User Support: Providing technical support for users’ hardware and software requests. Vendor management. Additional Qualities & Location: The role requires a problem‑oriented, get‑it‑done attitude, attention to detail, and comfort in a fast‑pacing, stressful environment. Occasional after‑hours support and emergency office visits may be required; proximity to the workplace is a significant advantage. Mandatory Skills Experience with IT infrastructure management, including Windows and Linux servers. Strong knowledge of network administration and security best practices. Proficient in configuring and maintaining Active Directory and related services. Experience with security policies, patch management and compliance requirements. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell or Bash. Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills. Ability to work onsite in a fast‑paced trading environment. Nice‑to‑Have Skills Experience in the financial sector. Familiarity with ERP systems and cloud‑based platforms. Knowledge of CRM, MDM and endpoint protection tools. Experience with business continuity and disaster recovery planning. Ability to manage vendor relationships and procurement processes. Start Date ASAP. Assignment Location Toronto, Ontario; onsite presence strongly preferred due to the nature of the environment and need for rapid response.
