Job Description Overview As a strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team, the Fractional Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) will play a crucial role in the company's journey through a pivotal growth phase. This role involves building a strong HR foundation and cultivating a culture and talent engine essential for expanding the company's presence as a nationwide brand, operating in various regions. Responsibilities Strategic People Leadership Act as a trusted advisor on all people-related matters. Design and execute a people strategy in alignment with growth and culture. Identify and address organizational design gaps for national scaling. Talent Acquisition & Retention Collaborate with recruiting to create scalable, high-quality hiring processes. Develop an attractive employer brand for a competitive talent market. Implement strategies to reduce turnover, especially in frontline roles. Culture & Employee Experience Guide cultural evolution during rapid growth and expansion. Create employee engagement programs, feedback mechanisms, and recognition frameworks. Ensure a consistent, values-driven employee experience across locations. Performance & Development Implement or improve performance management systems linked to business outcomes. Develop learning programs that promote career growth and internal mobility. Coach leaders and managers to enhance their people leadership skills. Total Rewards & Compensation Assess and refine compensation and benefits frameworks for competitiveness. Advise on equity and incentive structures in anticipation of future liquidity events. HR Infrastructure & Compliance Ensure compliance with employment legislation across all regions. Optimize HR systems and processes for a growing, distributed workforce. Establish HR metrics and reporting for leadership insight into workforce health. Qualifications 15+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including VP or CHRO-level roles. Proven track record in scaling HR functions in high-growth, venture-backed companies. Profound understanding of Canadian employment regulations and multi-regional compliance. Experience navigating both rapid growth and organizational restructuring. Strong commercial acumen with deep business understanding. Excellent executive communication and coaching abilities. Ability to operate in ambiguity with action-oriented, pragmatic solutions. Experience with blue-collar/frontline workforces is advantageous. Previous fractional or interim CHRO experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
