We recruit experienced project management professionals for complex project and operational environments, supporting clients with sourcing, contracting, supplier management, and project commercial delivery. The Work You will be the on-site subject matter expert for logistics and materials management on a large-scale mining project in Northern British Columbia. You will coordinate the end-to-end movement, tracking, storage and distribution of materials and equipment on site, keeping construction schedules on track and reducing delays. You’ll also oversee third-party logistics providers and drive efficient material flow across the project lifecycle. Act as the primary logistics lead on site, providing guidance and solutions for material movement and supply chain activities. Develop and implement materials management strategies to support construction sequencing and project milestones. Monitor and maintain materials tracking systems to ensure visibility of inbound/outbound shipments and on-site inventory. Exercise oversight and control of delivery schedules, coordinating with freight forwarders, carriers, and logistics providers to ensure materials are transported efficiently to site in alignment with construction sequencing, while proactively identifying delivery risks and implementing mitigation strategies to avoid delays. Manage laydown areas, storage facilities, and inventory control systems while implementing and enforcing site logistics procedures for receiving, inspection, tagging, issuing, handling, storage, and preservation of materials, and supporting the development of logistics plans covering site access, material flow, and equipment staging to ensure efficient and damage-free operations. Provide oversight and direction to logistics service providers, subcontractors, and contractors involved in the transport, handling, and storage of materials, ensuring activities are effectively coordinated and all parties comply with project safety standards and site protocols. Ideal candidates will demonstrate: Minimum 7+ years of proven experience in materials management, supply chain or logistics roles. Experience supporting site-based engineering projects (i.e. Mining, Oil & Gas, Utilities, Industrial etc.). Experience working in FIFO/camp-based roles preferred. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with materials tracking and ERP systems would be ideal.
