Overview The Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health) Department of Medical Imaging in Victoria is seeking Diagnostic Radiologist to work full time in Victoria. The group consists of 26 radiologists who cover the Royal Jubilee Hospital, Victoria General Hospital, Saanich Peninsula Hospital, Lady Minto Hospital, the BC Cancer Agency and a variety of clinics. Qualifications Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in Diagnostic Radiology and eligibility for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC. Preference for fellowship training in neuroradiology and breast imaging. Preference for subspecialty training or significant clinical experience. Experience with breast imaging, including screening, is an asset. Comfort with minor interventional procedures. After hours/on call services are required, with a frequency of approximately 1 in 6. Participation in resident teaching through the UBC Department of Radiology and medical student teaching through the UBC Island Medical Program. Responsibilities Provide diagnostic radiology services across the Medical Imaging group covering multiple hospitals and clinics. Engage in teaching and participate in interventional procedures as appropriate. Contribute to after-hours/on-call coverage as described. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to program development.
