Overview Role: Mobile Test Automation Engineer • Duration: 12 months • Location: Toronto • Work Style: Hybrid (4 days a week in office)ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain Appium-based automation frameworks for iOS and Android applications.Automate functional, regression, smoke, and sanity tests for mobile apps.Validate UI/UX behavior, device compatibility, OS versions, gestures, permissions, and accessibility standards.Execute and stabilize mobile tests across emulators, simulators, and real devices.Enhance reusable automation components using Java + TestNG/JUnit, Maven/Gradle.Implement Page Object Model (POM) and maintain clean, modular test architecture.Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or equivalent).Monitor test execution results, flakiness, and coverage; continuously improve reliability.API & Integration TestingDesign and execute API automation tests using RestAssured, Postman, or similar tools.Validate REST APIs for request/response, authentication (OAuth/JWT), error handling, and data integrity.Support end-to-end test scenarios combining mobile + API + backend validations.Agile Delivery & CollaborationParticipate actively in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).Collaborate with developers and product teams to define test strategy, acceptance criteria, and quality gates.Raise and track defects using JIRA with clear reproduction steps and closure tracking.Provide transparent quality status and risk indicators to stakeholders.Quality & GovernanceApply automation-first and shift-left testing practices.Maintain alignment with risk, security, and compliance standards.Continuously improve test coverage, defect leakage, and release readiness metrics.Required Qualifications5–10 years of experience in Quality Engineering / Test AutomationStrong Appium experience for iOS & AndroidProficiency in Java and TestNG/JUnitStrong API automation experience (RestAssured / Postman)CI/CD experience (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)Agile/Scrum experienceStrong debugging and analytical skills#J-18808-Ljbffr
