About the Company Our client is a lifestyle brand. They are looking for an Accounting Manager who will be responsible for the end-to-end accounting cycle. This includes providing support to the broader finance team in areas such as inventory valuation, accounts receivable, accounts payable, month end close, and payroll. The Accounting Manager will be an expert in full cycle accounting, financial reporting (US/CA GAAP, IFRS, and ASPE), as well as external audit management. They will also contribute to critical projects that impact the company’s long-term success such as annual budgeting and project ROIs. Why Work HereWork with a fantastic CPA, CA boss Opportunity to build processes, efficiencies and manage a team Work for a very recognizable brand About the OpportunityLead month-end close reconciliations and analysis, preparing audit-ready working papers with clear variance explanations Oversee inventory accounting, cost control, and reconciliation processes to ensure accurate reporting Prepare financial reports and dashboards to provide insights into store, department, and regional performance for senior management Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including preparation of financial statements and review of related tax filings Develop, document, and implement business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls and enable automation Support the external audit process by providing timely documentation and responses Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic planning and decision-making Partner with cross-functional teams on process improvements and business-critical projects to drive profitability Mentor and coach members of the finance team Perform other related duties as assigned About YouMinimum of five years of progressive finance/accounting experience Canadian CPA designation required, with a strong understanding of ASPE and Canadian GAAP Experience in a public accounting firm and audit environment; retail industry experience is highly desirable Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel) and accounting software (NetSuite preferred) Proven leadership experience with strong team management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Salary Range: $110,000 - $115,000/year To apply, please submit your resume in MS Word or Rich Text format.
