This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Real Estate Law Clerk to join a busy and sophisticated practice, working closely with lawyers on complex transactions and development projects across Ontario. What You'll Be Doing Managing commercial real estate transaction files from opening to reporting — acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing Acting on secured lending files (bank and private lender-side) Handling condominium and subdivision development closings, including phased interim closings Drafting and reviewing closing documentation, mortgage security documents, title insurance, requisitions, reporting letters, and statements of adjustments Communicating directly and professionally with clients, opposing counsel, lenders, title insurers, and government offices Working across multiple files simultaneously under deadline pressure with minimal supervision Preparing documents on Teraview and managing trust funds in compliance with LSO requirements What You Bring 3–5 years of commercial real estate law clerk experience in an Ontario law firm (firm will consider strong candidates on either end of this range) Secured lending experience is a strong asset — bank/lender-side experience specifically Law Clerk diploma or equivalent Excellent written communication — you'll be corresponding directly with opposing counsel and clients Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage high file volume without losing composure Proficiency in Teraview and Microsoft Office; familiarity with Unity or similar practice management software is an asset
