Responsibilities Design and develop energy management and sustainability tools, integrating SCADA systems (Ignition) and IoT platforms such as ThingsBoard. Build user‑facing features for platforms, ensuring interaction with IoT devices, sensors, and gateways. Develop reusable, modular code and libraries for future projects. Write integration and unit tests for reliable performance with IoT sensors and SCADA data. Participate in code review and enforce coding standards. Collaborate with back‑end engineers to shape APIs and data flow between front‑end, back‑end, and devices. Oversee deployment and provisioning of IoT sensors and gateways, ensuring smooth integration and data acquisition. Troubleshoot issues related to IoT sensors, gateways, and SCADA systems. Integrate data from multiple sensors and SCADA systems into a unified platform for data‑driven decision making. Qualifications Passionate about energy management, sustainability, and hardware configurations. Strong problem‑solving skills focused on product development. Solid understanding of the IoT ecosystem, including sensor, gateway, and device deployment. Experience with IoT platforms (ThingsBoard, AWS IoT, Azure IoT). Hands‑on experience with SCADA tools (Ignition or similar). Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT, BACnet, HTTP, REST APIs). Proficiency in Python for IoT device software, data processing, and automation. Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL) for managing IoT sensor data. Excellent analytical and debugging skills for complex IoT systems. Comfortable resolving dependency and integration conflicts.
