Overview Panasonic Canada Inc. is currently looking to hire for the position of Business Manager – Mechanical Devices . Develops, implements, and monitors the effectiveness of product marketing strategies for mechanical devices to achieve sales, profit, inventory, and other business objectives. Reviews applicable market research, sets prices, keeps current on new product development, and manages relationships with factories to ensure consistent product flow, information, documentation, and competitive pricing. Assists in developing the business plan and leads PSI forecast. This is a full-time position. The role is hybrid; any office‑based work will be performed from our Mississauga office at Ambler Drive. Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada at the time of application. Panasonic Canada Inc. does not offer sponsorship for temporary work permits or permanent residency. Responsibilities Review purchase and sales levels, pricing, operating margins, costing, and set market pricing and discount structures for assigned products, ensuring ongoing business plan objectives are met. Ensure price lists are maintained and appropriately delivered for all product categories. Assist in developing the business plan and department budget. Review and recommend changes to PSI forecast to satisfy new product launches or promotional requirements. Implement marketing programs upon approval, including communication to sales force, suppliers, and distributors. Work with Corporate Brand Management to develop media, packaging, displays, or brochures. Develop contests, coordinate exhibits, shows, customer presentations, product launches, and internal events. Source and order promotional materials, ensure timely processing of approved co‑operative advertising programs, and proofread all layouts. Manage relationships between PCI and factories to ensure consistent product flow and competitive pricing; conduct price negotiations and keep updated on new product development. Provide feedback to factories regarding market conditions, expectations, and recommended changes. Review and analyze market research from third parties, keeping up to date on market trends, economic, demographic, competitor information, dealer and distributor profiling, market size, penetration, marketing practices, and sales trends. Oversee logistics staff work related to key accounts, annual volume rebate program, agent commission, credit notes, and promotion program dockets. Prepare a monthly business review for the Director outlining wins, losses, challenges, and opportunities, presenting new strategies and reporting on prior tactical executions. Engage in customer‑facing activities as requested, and assist in preparing presentation materials. Develop and maintain a minimum two‑year product roadmap for assigned lines of business and review quarterly with management. Qualifications Education : College or University Degree – 3 or 4 year bachelor level; major in Marketing or Business. Experience : 7 to 10 years of related work experience. Problem Solving : In‑depth analysis; develops customized solutions; occasional strategizing. Interpersonal : Elicits productive answers to investigative questions; negotiates; occasional rapport building. Language : English proficiency. What You’ll Earn The annual wage range for this position is $75,000 – $105,000 CAD . The role is eligible for a maximum annual bonus of 25% of the base salary based on achievement of predetermined objectives.
