Our expert team in British Columbia specializes in managing contaminated sites through comprehensive site investigations, risk assessments, and customized remediation and risk management plans. We support many sectors across AtkinsRéalis from transportation, mining, infrastructure, water, power & renewables, and many more. Your role Supervising and mentoring a team of environmental professionals and technical staff. Provide leadership with a focus on collaboration and instill a culture of diversity, inclusion and equality. Understand client objectives, technical protocols, guidelines and regulations that apply to the work/projects conducted and the rationale/developmental framework behind them. Act as a direct interface between clients and the AtkinsRéalis project team, stakeholders including First Nations and/or regulatory bodies, as appropriate. Senior‑level project management (including technical program development, management of personnel and resources, oversight of budgets and schedules for deliverables, implementing quality assurance reviews, and ensuring client objectives are met). Identify project quality/project profitability risks and liabilities, and develop strategies to minimize them. Embrace behavior‑based safety and ensure proper implementation and continued use of quality assurance programs and corporate policies and procedures, including Ethics and Compliance. About you Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Geology, Agrology, Biology, Chemistry, or Environmental Sciences, or another related discipline. Be a licensed certified professional and Contaminated Sites Approved Professional (CSAP) in BC. 15+ years of progressive environmental consulting experience. Technical expertise in mining‑sector environmental work, including abandoned mine sites, remediation strategies, reclamation planning, or mine closure design considered an asset (Preferred). Experience leading multidisciplinary teams, providing mentorship, coaching, technical direction, work planning, and quality control for junior and intermediate staff across multiple office locations (Preferred). In‑depth knowledge of municipal, provincial and federal environmental standards, regulations and guidelines as they apply to environmental investigation and remediation projects in British Columbia (and other parts of Canada as applicable on a project‑specific basis).
