Salary Range: $70,000.00 To $100,000.00 AnnuallyJob Summary: We are looking for an Accounting Manager to join our Finance Team. The Accounting Manager will support the Controller in overseeing the financial reporting and analysis as well as overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations. This position is ideal for someone who is motivated by continuous improvement and is looking for opportunities for growth as the business expands.Supervise, develop and mentor accounting teamOversee daily workflows of the department, review work and improve processes/controlsSupport hiring, onboarding and retention of team membersProvide coaching, training and ongoing performance feedbackAct as point of escalation for accounting issues and provide guidance to team membersDuties/Responsibilities:Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including accounts receivable and accounts payable functionsManage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all reconciliations, journal entries and financial statements are completed accurately and on timePrepare and analyze monthly financial results and provide recommendations on actionable financial insightsLead the preparation and coordination of the annual budgets for all store locationsEnsure timely and accurate financial reporting to support internal decision makingIdentify process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and internal controlsContribute to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and proceduresAssist with the annual review engagement, banking requirements and external reportingPerforms other related duties as assignedRequired Skills/Abilities:Previous experience reconciling Point-of-Sale and SAGE 300 data is an assetWorking knowledge of tax laws and ASPEStrong financial analysis skillsStrong Microsoft Office skills including Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelProficiency navigating spreadsheets, databases, and financial software applicationsEffective written and verbal communication skillsExperience in multi-location retail, grocery, or inventory-driven businesses is a strong assetProven ability to supervise and lead a teamEducationand Experience:Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience requiredBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance requiredAccounting designation is highly preferredOur Commitment Stong’s Market is an Equal Opportunity employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
