This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, organized, and self-driven individual. This is an excellent opportunity to build a career with an industry leader. The role is also responsible for driving operational excellence across all aspects of production. They lead, coordinate, and supervise daily operations while co-leading safety, production, maintenance, quality, continuous improvement, customer relations, and employee engagement. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate daily production operations Monitor KPIs daily and implement corrective actions to meet targets within deadlines, while identifying and prioritizing improvement opportunities Coach, train, and evaluate the production team to foster a culture of continuous improvement and high performance Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations across all production processes In collaboration with the Quality department, implement and maintain quality control systems to ensure products meet internal and industry standards Work with engineering teams on relocation, installation, and commissioning projects, ensuring compliance with specifications and proper operator training Ensure clear, structured, and effective communication with all production staff and the leadership team What We Are Looking For Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment Experience in the glass industry (an asset) University degree in management, mechanical engineering, or industrial engineering is considered an asset Strong knowledge of production system concepts (TPS), such as workplace organization (5S) and root cause analysis Understanding of production planning principles, including the ability to plan, allocate resources, manage production, and coordinate teams and equipment Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Experience managing teams in a unionized manufacturing environment Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel French is required – daily operations are conducted in French; English is necessary for regular interactions with head office and international colleagues only.
