The position is classified as a RÉ-06 (from $94,550 to $127,698 per annum – under review). JOB OVERVIEW As Project Manager, you will direct assigned engineering, architectural or real estate development and management projects with various levels of complexity and value related to redevelopment, construction, rehabilitation, and maintenance and repair of NCC assets. You will manage all aspects of project development and delivery and supervise the work of a project team through all phases of assigned projects to satisfy time, budget, scope and quality requirements. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with a specialization in the engineering or architecture, or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience related to the position. EXPERIENCE Five (5) to eight (8) years of experience in planning and managing construction, repair, maintenance and/or rehabilitation projects. KNOWLEDGE Of project management to plan, monitor, and oversee major projects, define scope, roles, schedules, and requirements, manage contracts, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and provide integrated project delivery. Of construction practices, building design, materials, and systems to interpret drawings and specifications, oversee consultants and contractors, and advise management. Of Government of Canada regulations, building codes, and industry standards to develop workplans and identify appropriate contractors and suppliers. Of finance and contract management to evaluate tenders, oversee third-party services, and ensure responsible delivery. ABILITIES To assess risks, identify patterns and trends, develop strategies, and make informed decisions based on project data. To develop and manage budgets and schedules, analyze information, and forecast outcomes for complex projects. To address project challenges, evaluate solutions, and implement effective corrective actions. To communicate effectively with stakeholders, lead consultations, present information to senior management, and support decision-making.
