Project Manager - PMO Governance - Global Operations - Montreal Location: Montreal, Canada. (Primary location only) The Opportunity As a Strategic Tax Operations Lead (Manager Level), you will be part of our Tax Services team, focusing on establishing relationships with senior-level client stakeholders and consistently delivering exceptional client service across the tax processes. You will develop the technical knowledge and connectivity needed to address client issues, help them operate their tax function through integrated services management, centralize and coordinate overall delivery, and identify opportunities for operational improvements. You will modernize tax processes and engage closely with corporate tax professionals across the service line to bring relevant solutions and drive account-level growth. Key Responsibilities Work with local or global tax teams to coordinate, deliver, and manage integrated tax service offerings, supporting the full engagement life cycle. Track delivery and operational metrics for status, efficiency, risk and quality; provide a consolidated view to stakeholders about progress and expected outcomes. Develop and maintain relationships with key contract stakeholders (internal and external) across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring effective communication about delivery, operational metrics and other areas. Deliver value by understanding and sharing tax developments, insights and market trends with stakeholders. Continuously identify opportunities for operational efficiency or value creation, and help implement relevant client solutions. Manage commercials of contract, billing, scope, and related change management. Draft and review executive-level reporting, presentations, and data analytics. Drive strategic planning and execution processes across various pillars such as tax operations, technology, data, learning, and others. Facilitate strategic discussions and workshops to identify and solve client pain points, bringing relevant EY solutions to the table to drive growth at the account level. Ideal Candidate Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, interpersonal, and written/verbal communication skills, with a strong problem‑solving ability, attention to detail and quality, and an entrepreneurial approach to work. Proven ability to work with senior executives and experience with strategic initiatives. Strong organizational and time‑management skills with a demonstrated ability to capture and synthesize stakeholder requirements. Proven project‑management skills, and an ability to plan and prioritize work, meet deadlines, monitor budget (A PMP qualification or similar would be beneficial). Experience driving process improvements and operational efficiencies and working with emerging technologies. Stakeholder engagement, facilitation skills, and ability to run effective meetings. Bachelor’s degree in a related field and a minimum of five to eight years of related work experience (e.g., accounting firm, international or regional tax experience).
