Responsibilities Service & Operational Excellence Ensure timely availability of ingredients and supplies to meet airline catering schedules and customer expectations. Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages, delays, or wastage. Coordinate closely with procurement, kitchen production, and logistics teams to maintain seamless operations. Maintain accurate inventory records and reporting systems. Performance & Continuous Improvement Implement FIFO and FEFO inventory systems to reduce waste and improve efficiency. Analyze stock movement and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvement. Conduct regular stock audits and investigate inventory discrepancies. Support digital inventory systems and operational improvements. Teamwork & Respect Lead and motivate warehouse and store staff in a collaborative environment. Provide coaching and training on food handling, company procedures, and operational standards. Encourage open communication, accountability, and mutual respect among team members. Customer Focus Contribute to high-quality onboard catering services by ensuring products are available, fresh, and compliant with airline requirements. Store Operations Management Oversee daily operations of food storage (dry, chilled, frozen). Ensure proper receiving, inspection, and storage of all items. Coordinate with kitchen and dispatch teams. Procurement & Ordering Plan and manage ordering of food items and materials based on forecast and consumption trends. Coordinate with procurement team/suppliers to ensure timely replenishment. Raise purchase requisitions and track order status. Maintain optimal stock levels (avoid shortages or overstocking). Monitor lead times and ensure critical items are always available. Verify supplier deliveries against purchase orders and quality standards. Manage emergency / last-minute airline catering requirements. Food Safety & Compliance Ensure HACCP and airline standards compliance. Monitor chillers/freezers temperature logs. Maintain hygiene and sanitation practices. Support audits and implement corrective actions. Coordination & Communication Liaise with procurement, production, and logistics. Ensure materials are issued on time for flight schedules. Communicate shortages or critical items proactively. Knowledge/ Skills In-depth knowledge of production processes and manufacturing principles. Strong leadership and team management skills.
