Position Overview Full‑time Assistant or Associate Professor in Human Anatomy & Cell Science, tenure‑track (probationary) commencing September 1, 2026. Key Responsibilities Develop a nationally recognized, externally funded research program focused on translational cancer research, particularly functional proteomics of clinically relevant cell and tissue specimens. Build and lead multidisciplinary and translational research teams; collaborate with the Manitoba Centre for Proteomics and Systems Biology and other core facilities. Conduct research in brain tumor biology, cell stress mechanisms, and tumor–brain cell interactions. Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses and contribute to curriculum development. Participate in departmental, university, and community service activities. Pursue national and international funding (CIHR, NSERC, CFI–JELF, etc.) and manage research budgets. Recruit, mentor, and supervise graduate students and trainees. Qualifications PhD or MD/PhD (or equivalent) with 2–3 years postdoctoral experience (Assistant Professor) or prior principal‑investigator experience supervising graduate students and a successfully funded research program (Associate Professor). Demonstrated research productivity with innovative functional proteomic methodologies. Evidence of leadership in interdisciplinary, team‑based research. Strong teaching and mentoring experience.
