Job Salary: $120,000 - $130,000 / Year depending on experience (Flexibility) Position Overview Our client is seeking a strategic yet hands‑on leader to oversee payroll and benefits across North America. This role will manage high‑volume, multi‑jurisdictional payroll operations across Canada and the U.S., while also supporting a broader global footprint. The position requires strong leadership, operational execution, and the ability to drive process improvements in a fast‑scaling environment. About the Opportunity Hybrid / Remote – preference for candidates based in Winnipeg; open to remote across approved Canadian provinces (MB, SK, ON, AB) Reports to senior finance leadership and partners closely with HR Lead and develop a team of 6 across payroll and benefits, including oversight of offshore support (Philippines) Oversee end‑to‑end, high‑volume payroll processing across Canada and the U.S. (multi‑state and multi‑provincial) Ensure compliance across multiple jurisdictions, including U.S. and Canadian regulatory requirements Own relationships with payroll/HRIS provider (Dayforce) and benefits vendors Partner with Finance on general ledger, accruals, and payroll reconciliations Lead year‑end processes (W‑2s, T4s, and related filings) and support internal/external audits Drive process improvements, scalability, and automation as the organization continues to grow globally (15+ countries supported) Play a key role in optimizing payroll operations in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment About You 10+ years of payroll experience (flexible for strong candidates) 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams Strong experience managing both U.S. (multi‑state) and Canadian payroll Experience in high‑volume payroll environments Advanced experience with HRIS/payroll systems (Dayforce preferred) Strong understanding of payroll compliance, regulations, and reporting requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills Hands‑on mindset with the ability to operate both strategically and tactically Nice-to-Haves PCP or CPM (Canada) designation Experience in high‑growth or multi‑jurisdictional environments Exposure to global payroll operations or scaling organizations #J-18808-Ljbffr
