Position Overview Assistant Professor – Leadership in Health Informatics Systems and Policy Research at the Institute of Health Policy Management and Evaluation in the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto. Full‑time, tenure‑stream, expected start January 1 2027. Responsibilities The successful candidate will be expected to pursue innovative and independent research in health informatics policymaking, to establish an externally funded program, and to contribute to the teaching of courses such as Leadership for Digital Health Transformation, Systems Design and Policy Development in Health Informatics, and Information and Interoperability Governance. The candidate will have the opportunity to serve in academic leadership positions related to curriculum development and may teach undergraduate courses. Qualifications PhD in Health Informatics, Information Science, or a relevant field at time of appointment. Focused expertise in implementation or scaling of digital health innovations, especially data governance, socio‑technical systems, safety and risk management. Demonstrated record of excellence and emerging reputation in health informatics policy, leadership, and systems research. Ability to attract competitive external research funding. Strong teaching dossier, including teaching philosophy, sample course materials, and evidence of superior teaching performance. Commitment to integrating knowledge users, policymakers, and public stakeholders. Salary and Funding Expected salary range $130,000–$150,000 CAD per annum, depending on experience.
