Since 2013, our team has delivered over 100 public sector municipal projects ranging from watermain, storm and sanitary sewer replacement and/or rehabilitation to full road reconstruction and urbanization. Our team has been at the forefront of current and innovative technologies that provide our clients the most feasible, cost sensitive and up to date solutions in the market. As an intermediate civil engineer, you will act as a mid-level professional, responsible for independently managing design elements of projects, conducting technical analysis, overseeing construction phases, and collaborating with senior engineers while reporting to project managers, typically with a focus on executing complex design tasks with increasing autonomy compared to a junior engineer but still receiving guidance on critical decisions. Key Roles and Responsibilities Plan, schedule, organize, direct, control and evaluate projects from start to finish. Maintain timelines and budgets to meet overall project requirements. Prepare and manage changes on engineering deliverables. Ability to determine/understand project scope and estimate respective consulting fees. Prepare engineering services proposals. Ensure designs conform to applicable codes, standards, regulations, specifications, and procedures with client requirements and cost estimates. Complete field activities including general reviews, completion reports and final documentation during construction. Liaise with client representatives, assign work to team members and coordinate between disciplines and sub-consultants. Prepare design specifications, Tender Documents, and Contract Documents. Conduct business development activities and build client relationships Oversee and develop budgets, cost estimates, and manage project financial considerations. Provide peer review support for engineering work and quality control checks. Education And Experience A Bachelor of Civil Engineering and a P.Eng designation An experienced Civil Engineer with a proven track record of utilizing their unique skills and experience to support the development of engineering projects A background in contract administration 5 years of experience of practical experience in the civil engineering field with relevant leadership experience Ability to coordinate with other engineering disciplines working on the same projects Confidence to put forward suggestions on how to help grow the company and improve processes Knowledge of municipal and provincial standards Position will primarily work in the field.
