Job Description We are seeking an experienced and hands‑on Director of Sales & Marketing to own and scale the company’s residential revenue engine. This is not a traditional marketing or sales leadership role. This position is accountable for end‑to‑end revenue performance, from lead generation through to closed deals and revenue realization. You will oversee both the marketing and sales functions and teams, ensuring alignment across the full customer journey: Marketing generates high‑quality, high‑intent demand Sales consistently converts that demand into revenue Systems and processes enable predictable, scalable growth This is a strategic leadership role with a strong executional component and would be ideal for someone who can balance big‑picture thinking with day‑to‑day performance management. Core Responsibilities Revenue Ownership & Strategy Own and execute the company’s revenue growth strategy Forecast pipeline and revenue performance with high accuracy Align marketing investment with sales capacity and revenue targets Identify opportunities across pricing, positioning, and market expansion Marketing Strategy & Demand Generation Own marketing performance across all channels, including: Paid social (Meta) Paid search and display (Google, Microsoft/Bing – in collaboration with agency partner) SEO and website performance Email marketing Organic social and local SEO Traditional and out‑of‑home channels, including radio and direct mail Monitor KPIs such as cost per lead, conversion rate, lead quality, and ROI; analyze performance data and continuously optimize campaigns and channel mix Oversee external vendors and ensure accountability for results Sales Cycle Ownership & Conversion Optimization Own the entire customer acquisition process: Lead generation Qualification Lead management Sales conversation Identify opportunities to improve lead quality, conversion rates, and customer acquisition efficiency, minimizing bottlenecks and reducing friction across the journey Tracking, Attribution & Funnel Optimization Ensure proper tracking of all marketing activities (UTMs, forms, ERP integration) Oversee lead attribution and funnel analysis to understand channel effectiveness Continuously improve reporting frameworks and dashboards Budget & Resource Management Manage and allocate marketing budget to maximize return on investment Regularly evaluate channel performance and reallocate spend as needed Ensure efficient use of internal resources and external partners Brand & Market Development Lead brand strategy and ensure consistency across all regions and touchpoints Support expansion into new markets and provinces with localized strategies Oversee messaging, positioning, and creative direction across campaigns Team Leadership & Development Lead, mentor, and develop both sales and marketing teams Manage and mentor direct reports, providing clear direction, prioritizing workstreams, and ensuring team accountability Foster a collaborative, performance‑driven team environment Lead and manage the sales team Establish and enforce sales processes, scripts, and playbooks Monitor and improve core sales metrics: Close rate Sales cycle length Average deal size Revenue per lead Drive accountability through performance tracking and coaching Ensure CRM discipline and pipeline visibility across all stages Cross‑Functional Collaboration Partner closely with operations and executive leadership to align on priorities and feedback loops Ensure marketing is effectively supporting lead conversion and end‑to‑end customer experience Ensure clean process hand‑off points between departments, namely Sales and Operations, with the intent to preserve data accuracy and completeness, and to mitigate confusion between departments. Skill & Qualifications 8+ years of experience across sales, marketing, or revenue operations 3+ years of experience in a leadership role owning targets and team performance Proven track record of driving revenue growth – not just lead generation Strong analytical mindset with experience in marketing attribution, funnel analysis, ROI optimization, sales processes, and pipeline management, as well as a keen ability to identify trends and patterns in the data Experience working with CRM systems, reporting frameworks, and external agencies Hands‑on experience with paid media, SEO, CRO, and website optimization Demonstrated ability to manage and develop high‑performing teams Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Comfortable working with deadlines and multiple projects in parallel Ability to adapt, prioritize, and work in a fast‑paced environment Experience in multi‑region marketing environments; prior experience with Quebec markets considered an asset Understanding of Canadian privacy regulations and digital compliance best practices Experience in HVAC, home services, or related industries considered an asset Why Join 1Click Join a rapidly growing company helping electrify Canadian homes.
