The Director of Marketing is a strategic leader responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the organization’s marketing strategy to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, revenue growth, and market expansion. This role leads a multidisciplinary team, collaborates across departments, and ensures that all marketing initiatives align with organizational objectives, working closely with the Welbilt Marcom marketing team on multi‑brand events and marketing materials. This position is based on‑site at our Mississauga, Ontario facility and is a full‑time, permanent role. The position requires the ability to travel globally (up to 10%). Major Accountability: Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with the company’s business goals. Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing marketing team (digital, content, design, events, product marketing, etc.). Oversee integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, email, events, and traditional channels. Guide digital strategy including SEO, SEM, paid media, website optimization, and marketing automation. Manage all aspects of the marketing and product management functions including communications, material development, product plans, pricing/profitability, commercial events/support, and market research. Key Tasks & Responsibilities: Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive insights, and customer needs. Define marketing KPIs, monitor performance, and adjust strategies to maximize ROI. Oversee brand positioning, messaging, and overall market presence. Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources. Foster collaboration between marketing, sales, production, finance, and executive leadership. Manage relationships with external agencies, vendors, and strategic partners. Drive demand generation programs to support sales pipeline goals. Ensure consistent brand voice and visual identity across all materials and campaigns. Analyze marketing data to provide actionable insights and performance reporting. Implement tools and technologies to improve marketing effectiveness and customer engagement. Evaluate marketing investments and adjust spending based on performance and priorities. Manage communications, social media and website design/content. Manages equipment/display and material support for tradeshows and commercial events (product training, rep roadshows, buying group). Manage trade show equipment inventory and coordinates with production planning as required. Consistently operate in a manner that aligns to the Company Core Values. Qualifications Specialized Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Proven success in developing and executing marketing strategies that drive measurable growth. Experience leading teams and managing multi‑channel campaigns. Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills. Deep understanding of digital marketing, analytics platforms, and CRM/automation tools. Ability to think strategically while executing tactically. Creative problem solver with strong business acumen. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field; MBA preferred. 7-9 years of progressive marketing experience with at least 2-4 years in a leadership role.
