Reporting to the Vice President, Finance the Corporate Controller will work closely with the Finance Team. PRIMARY SCOPE OF ROLE Tracking, managing, and forecasting the financial performance of our construction projects. Applying sound decision-making abilities, ensuring that cost, quality, and timeline goals are met. Working closely with project managers, estimators, and field teams to ensure that every dollar is accounted for and every resource is used efficiently. Advising on construction materials and their cost implications. Checking for construction compliance and verifying financial alignment. Ensuring that all financial aspects meet legal and regulatory requirements. Overseeing cost control on construction project from start to finish. Communicating effectively with construction crews regarding budgets and spending. Striving to keep our construction projects financially on track and aligned with regulatory standards. Applying proactive cost control to ensure successful project delivery, from planning to final completion. POSITION REQUIREMENTS University degree and professional accounting designation (CA preferred) or equivalent work experience. Educational and experience requirements include a relevant degree 5 or more years similar construction cost control experience. Equivalent combinations of training and/or related experience will be considered. Sound knowledge of cost control systems, principles and practices required. Working knowledge of P6. Professional experience overseeing construction project from a cost management perspective. Excellent verbal/written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills. WHAT WE OFFER Expected Base Salary: $70,000-$120,000 per year. The actual base salary will depend on several factors including experience, qualifications, internal equity, work location and market expectations. Annual performance-based bonus.
