We are hiring a Medical Director for a leading healthcare organization supporting the Canadian diabetes care market. This role provides country‑level medical and clinical leadership to support the safe, effective, and evidence‑based use of diabetes technologies. The Medical Director leads the medical affairs strategy for Canada while ensuring strong alignment between clinical, regulatory, scientific, and commercial objectives. Acting as the primary medical partner to internal stakeholders and external experts, the Medical Director represents Medical Affairs in leadership forums and scientific engagements and supports compliant, patient‑centered innovation across the product lifecycle. This position collaborates closely with global medical, regulatory, quality, and research teams within a regulated healthcare environment. Responsibilities Lead and execute the Canadian medical affairs strategy in alignment with global objectives Represent Medical Affairs in country‑level leadership forums and internal decision‑making discussions Provide clinical expertise across product lifecycle activities, including new product introductions and lifecycle management Partner with cross‑functional teams to support clinical positioning, evidence needs, and scientific messaging Support the development and execution of post‑market clinical studies, real‑world evidence programs, and investigator‑initiated research Interpret and disseminate clinical and real‑world evidence to demonstrate product safety, performance, and value Lead Canadian publication planning and ensure alignment with scientific and medical strategy Engage with key opinion leaders and external experts to inform medical and strategic direction Support the development of medical education and training materials for Canadian healthcare professionals Collaborate with regulatory, quality, and safety teams to support post‑market surveillance and risk‑management activities Ensure all medical affairs activities comply with applicable regulatory, ethical, and corporate standards Requirements MD or DO with an active medical license; board certification in Adult or Pediatric Endocrinology strongly preferred 3+ years of clinical practice experience combined with 3–5 years of industry medical affairs experience Strong background in diabetes care and related technologies Demonstrated experience in medical strategy, scientific exchange, and cross‑functional collaboration Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills within a matrixed organization Experience with evidence generation, publications, and real‑world data initiatives Ability to work effectively within a highly regulated healthcare environment Willingness to travel up to 30% for scientific meetings and stakeholder engagements #J-18808-Ljbffr
