Position Description This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto and/or client office at a minimum 4 days per week – subject to change at any time. The Delivery Manager – Payments is responsible for leading the end‑to‑end delivery of payment technology initiatives within a highly regulated and mission‑critical banking environment. This role ensures consistent, predictable delivery across scope, timeline, budget, quality, and risk. The individual collaborates closely with business, technology, and operations teams to deliver secure, scalable, and compliant payment solutions. Your future duties and responsibilities Own and manage the full project lifecycle, from initiation through planning, execution, implementation, and post‑production support. Ensure alignment with business objectives and organizational priorities. Drive delivery outcomes that meet agreed‑upon scope, timelines, budget, quality standards, and regulatory compliance requirements. Maintain a strong focus on predictable and high‑quality execution. Oversee and coordinate activities across development, testing, release management, and production support teams. Facilitate collaboration to ensure seamless execution and minimal disruption. Act as the primary point of contact for business and technology stakeholders. Build strong relationships, provide transparent updates, and ensure alignment across all levels of the organization. Establish and maintain delivery governance frameworks. Provide regular status reports, risk updates, and clear communication to senior leadership, enabling informed decision‑making. Monitor and manage team performance, utilization, and adherence to organizational policies. Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and high‑performing team environment. Proactively identify, assess, and manage risks, issues, and dependencies. Escalate concerns appropriately and drive mitigation strategies to ensure uninterrupted delivery. Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial allocations. Track expenditures and ensure efficient use of resources while maintaining cost control. Support initiatives related to audits and regulatory requirements (e.g., PCI, SOX). Ensure that all delivery activities adhere to compliance and governance standards in the payment’s domain. Identify opportunities to enhance delivery processes, tools, and methodologies. Promote best practices and continuous improvement to increase efficiency and quality. Provide leadership and support during major releases or critical production events, ensuring minimal risk and rapid issue resolution when needed. Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role Post‑secondary education in Technology, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. 10+ years of experience delivering medium‑to‑large‑scale technological initiatives. 5+ years of experience in payments technology or financial services. Proven success managing delivery in regulated, enterprise environments. Strong understanding and practical experience with Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid delivery models, and Leadership & Stakeholder Management. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively engage diverse stakeholders, build trust, and drive alignment across teams. Risk and Problem‑Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to identify risks early, analyze complex situations, and implement effective mitigation strategies in a dynamic environment. CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role: $95,000–$145,000. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. This role is an existing vacancy.
