We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Interior Designer to join our growing team. The Interior Designer is responsible for planning, designing, and coordinating interior spaces that are functional, safe, aesthetically pleasing, and compliant with applicable building codes and regulations. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with clients, architects, contractors, consultants, and project teams from concept development through project completion. Responsibilities Design and develop creative interior design concepts and solutions that align with client goals and project requirements. Prepare space plans and design presentations. Produce construction drawings, specifications, and design documentation. Select and specify finishes, fixtures, equipment, lighting, etc. Coordinate project activities with contractors, vendors and clients. Conduct site visits and site measures. Assist with project budgeting and scheduling. Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, accessibility standards, safety requirements, and client specifications. Review shop drawings, material submittals, and contractor requests for information. Manage multiple projects while maintaining quality standards and meeting deadlines. Stay informed on industry trends, emerging materials, sustainability practices, and design technologies. Participate in client meetings and presentations. Education & Experience Degree or Diploma in Interior Design from an accredited institution. Minimum 3 years of relevant interior design experience. Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered. Professional Qualifications Registration with ARIDO is considered an asset and does impact the job title. Knowledge of applicable building codes, accessibility standards, and construction practices. Technical Skills Proficiency in Revit and Microsoft Office are required, minimum of 5 years of experience. Experience preparing construction documents and specifications. Strong understanding of space planning, materials, finishes, furniture systems, and interior detailing. Experience with rendering and visualization software is considered an asset.
