Responsibilities Supporting Assistant General Counsel with various legal matters. Structuring and implementing international commercial and corporate transactions. Reviewing, drafting and negotiating customer, supplier, shipbuilding and financing agreements. Providing legal assistance on labour & employment and immigration matters. Assessing legal risk and developing mitigation strategies. Analyzing laws and regulations and providing related guidance to business units. Qualifications Law degree from a recognized university. A degree or experience in common law an asset. 1 to 5 years of legal experience in commercial or corporate law. Member in good standing of a recognized Bar. Ability to effectively prioritize files and manage time. Strong drafting, negotiating and problem‑solving skills. Attention to detail. Availability during non‑business hours, if required. Excellent team player and collaborator, who can also work autonomously. Risk manager, confident in making sound legal business decisions. Experience in corporate and commercial contracts, and labour & employment law; an asset. Knowledge of maritime law, chartering or maritime operations; an asset. Highly ethical and accountable. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and French. Knowledge of English is necessary for this role due to daily interactions with colleagues, clients and partners outside Quebec.
