Energy Modeler Specialist Location: Brampton, Markham, ON, or Calgary, AB. Role Overview In this role you will work within the Sustainability Sector, based in our Brampton, Markham, ON, or Calgary, AB offices, and will develop and analyze energy models for projects across the United States and Canada. Responsibilities Model building architecture and engineered Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing systems using energy modeling software. Analyze Energy and Water Conservation Measures to inform design decisions for buildings and sites. Author narratives and reports for clients outlining measures to improve energy and water efficiencies. Coordinate design recommendations with Owners, Architects and Engineers. Review Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Civil and Landscape drawings to confirm measures have been implemented in Design and Construction Documents. Document LEED Energy and Atmosphere Minimum Energy Performance prerequisite and Optimize Energy Performance Credit. Determine renewable energy system sizing based on energy model results. Review trended energy and water data for model calibrations one year post occupancy. Qualifications 10+ years of experience in energy modeling for LEED or code compliance (including Title 24). Proficiency in energy modeling software – at minimum IES Virtual Environment (5+ years), eQuest and Energy Pro. EIT or P.Eng is preferred.
