What Your Day to Day Will Look Like:Leads a team of skilled assemblers, operators and test technicians Identify and mentor potential C.I’s, advance program objectives and meet agreed customer goals and milestones, allocation of manpower according to engine priorities and other department priorities and update daily engine status Mentor and coach new assemblers and operators, coordinate resolution of technical issues during build or test and shift change handover meetings Ensure all paperwork is completed as per quality standards, advance FOD culture and initiatives in assembly, rigs, lab and test cells, complete 6S inspections, support and advance ACE initiatives and occasional communication of information in contact meetings Coordinate movement of hardware internally and externally Complete EHS inspections Coordinate departmental training requirements with Supervisor The Tools You Need to Be Successful:HS diploma (or equivalent) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience Certification or credentials may be required for some roles Ten years’ minimal experience in assembly and test Thorough understanding of compressor and turbine build/balancing processes Experience in leading and developing high performing teams Ability to work independently in a high‑pressure environment Drive to meet customer requirements while maintaining highest quality of work Must be organized and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Must be able to interact with various groups from both plant 22 and other plants Must be able to manage department shift schedule and support weekday and weekend overtime as required Analytical and troubleshooting skills Communication skills and a demonstrated ability for teamwork What we offer?Innovative, state‑of‑the‑art products and technology: next‑generation aircraft and helicopter engines (PW800, PT6E‑series, F135, etc.) Development of green and sustainable technologies Career development and education programs Leadership training programs and mentoring Range of employee benefits, savings plan and pension plan Recognized environmental, health and safety practices Corporate health and wellness programs and employee resource groups Assistance program for parental leave The salary range for this role is $92,170 to $122,150 CAD.
