Platform Engineer – Infrastructure, CI/CD & IAM Toronto, Hybrid Experience 6–8 years Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Platform Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure for enterprise applications. The role involves collaborating with development teams to understand application requirements, implementing CI/CD pipelines, monitoring system performance, ensuring security compliance, and optimizing platform efficiency. The ideal candidate has strong hands‑on experience in platform engineering, Agile practices, identity and access management (IAM), and cloud/infrastructure design. Key Responsibilities Platform Design & Implementation Design and implement scalable and reliable platform infrastructure for enterprise applications. Collaborate with software development teams to ensure the platform supports application requirements. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for rapid and reliable software deployment. Apply Agile methodologies to manage development and operations workflows. Performance Monitoring & Optimization Continuously monitor platform and application performance. Define and track key metrics to optimize platform efficiency and reliability. Troubleshoot platform issues and provide technical support to development teams. Security & Compliance Implement security protocols to protect sensitive data. Ensure platform compliance with industry standards and best practices. Collaborate with IAM teams to manage access controls and authentication mechanisms. Documentation & Knowledge Sharing Maintain comprehensive documentation of platform architecture, processes, and configurations. Share knowledge with team members and contribute to operational continuity. Stay updated on the latest technologies and industry trends to enhance platform capabilities. Required Skills & Experience 6–8 years of experience in platform engineering, infrastructure, or DevOps roles. Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation. Strong understanding of system performance monitoring and optimization . Experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM) implementation . Familiarity with Agile methodologies . Solid understanding of security protocols and compliance requirements . Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and technical support skills. Excellent documentation and knowledge‑sharing abilities. Desirable Skills Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP). Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Knowledge of infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
