Overview Rainforest Automation is transforming how utilities and their customers use electricity. Our software connects smart meters, IoT devices, and real-time energy data to help utilities manage demand, reduce emissions, and deliver better customer experiences. We work with leading electric utilities , retail energy providers , and business customers across North America and Australia to deploy programs that drive measurable impact — from demand response and peak-load reduction to advanced energy analytics. We’re looking for a personable, driven, and performance-oriented Account Executive who will ensure our customers and their participants succeed. What You’ll Do Manage relationships with utility customers and ensure their ongoing success with Rainforest products and programs. Act as the primary point of contact for key utility accounts — supporting onboarding, engagement, and long-term satisfaction. Recruit and onboard business customers (e.g., commercial or industrial participants) into utility-sponsored programs. Ensure those participants are successful in using Rainforest’s technology to achieve program goals (e.g., energy reduction, demand flexibility). Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Engineering teams to improve customer experience and outcomes. Identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts and support sales growth initiatives. Measure and report program performance metrics to internal and external stakeholders. Adapt and innovate — use data, insight, and creativity to engage customers and overcome participation barriers. What We’re Looking For 3–7 years of experience in account management, customer success, or program management. Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships. Excellent communication and presentation skills — comfortable speaking with both business owners and utility program managers. Strong organizational skills and a bias for action — you like to get things done. Experience working with data or technology products (SaaS, IoT, or energy tech preferred). Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders with agility and professionalism. Driven by results — you measure success through customer adoption, satisfaction, and impact. Nice to Have Experience in energy , utilities , demand response , or clean tech industries. Familiarity with B2B engagement , program recruitment , or energy efficiency programs .
