You will evolve in a multidisciplinary environment and develop skills by collaborating with experienced professionals, particularly on substation, hydroelectric power station, and renewable energy projects, withnumerousclients across Canada.Primary ResponsibilitiesDesign and review Control and Protection systemsfor both utility and industry projectsApproveand reviewproject deliverables, including detaildesigndrawings,P&Cone linediagrams,panellayouts,cablescheduleandequipment sizing, etc.Collaborate with members of the engineering team as well as project managers from other disciplinesPrepareprojectplans, drawings and calculations based on specifications providedResponsible of the development of electricalControland Protection systems, including single-line diagrams, logic diagrams, three-line AC diagrams,protectionand c.c. control diagrams, wiring drawings, device connection drawings, assembly plans, material lists and quotes for the manufacturing and installation on site of Control and Protection panelsSupervise the development of AC and DC power systems, including single-line diagrams, AC & DC load calculations, AC & DC distribution diagrams, connection drawings of chargers, batteries, inverter, etc.Participate in site surveys (stations and power stations)Coordinating with other discipline as the Protection and control project engineerPerforming protection coordination study, relaysettingsand logic filesSupervising on the joiner engineers work and deliverables and provideguidanceto themPrepare commissioning specifications, field review plan and andNERC CIPdocumentsCoordinate with engineering disciplines: equipment, civil,mechanicaland buildingin order todevelop design solutions for optimized and advanced substation and power plant systemsPossibility of carrying out site work sporadically when the opportunity arises (start-up or monitoring)QualificationsUniversity Degree in Electrical engineeringRegistered (or eligible to register as) member of Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EBGC) or that of a recognized Professional Engineering Association in CanadaMore than12years of relevant experienceGood knowledge of protection and control principles and philosophies is mandatoryWork experience in the design of electrical systems4+years experiencein detailed P&C design with major and/or local utilities in CanadaFluent in English (oral and written)Basic knowledge of the office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)Autonomous, resourceful, and enjoys teamworkThe expected salary for this position is based on the richness and diversity of the candidate’s experience, training,skillsand internal equity.
