Reporting Structure Reporting directly into the Operations Manager, the Project Manager will oversee and manage the entire scope of our projects and will ultimately have a significant impact on overall project performance. What You’ll Do Here Support the proposal/estimating team to provide a quality submission that is competitive and achievable. Lead transition from estimating to project execution. Attract, build and mentor project teams. Promote a work environment that employees want to be a part of. Develop project goals to meet or exceed owner deliverables and align with Aecon’s corporate initiatives. Actively promote and prioritize safety above all else. Maintain critical path controls to track, monitor and adjust the schedule to meet all critical milestones. Demonstrate commercial acumen to control costs and improve margins. Enforce timely change‑management practices. Oversee quality, testing, start‑up and commissioning. Accurately forecast and report performance (safety, schedule, cost, quality). Identify, mitigate and manage project risks. Oversee procurement of subcontractors, major equipment and line materials. Effectively negotiate and execute contracts in a timely and cost‑effective manner. Manage and foster all stakeholder relations (Owner, Regulators, Subcontractors, Suppliers, etc.). Chair project management meetings with a focus on the best outcomes for Aecon, our client and our partners. What You Bring To The Team At least 7 years of construction experience. Post‑secondary education in engineering, construction management or an equivalent discipline. Ability to build and maintain effective relationships and work within a team environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Strong organizational and time‑management skills. Maintain a valid Alberta driver’s license. Background in General Contracting.
