Senior Atlassian Platform Engineer – Jira, Confluence, JSM Our team is currently undersized relative to the scale and complexity of the Atlassian environment we support. We require a contractor who can contribute immediately at a senior level, with minimal technical ramp‑up, to increase delivery capacity while maintaining platform standards and reducing operational risk. This is not a general team augmentation request. The role requires an experienced Atlassian specialist who can independently design, configure, migrate, and support solutions in a large shared enterprise environment. Environment Complexity 3,000 Jira and Confluence licenses 1,200 Jira Service Management licenses 500 active Jira projects 800 Confluence spaces 70 Jira Service Management projects Because this environment relies on shared configurations, standard templates, and governance controls, changes must be made with strong awareness of downstream impact across multiple projects, teams, and business groups. Skills and Experience Required Administer and support Jira Cloud, Confluence Cloud, and Jira Service Management Cloud in a large enterprise environment Design and configure governed solutions aligned to enterprise standards rather than one‑off customizations Independently build and enhance JSM projects, including portals, request types, forms, queues, SLAs, automations, and intake workflows Support Jira project setup, reconfiguration, troubleshooting, rationalization, and migration Contribute to Confluence space administration, cleanup, standardization, governance, lifecycle/retention‑related work, and migration planning Design, maintain, and troubleshoot Atlassian Automation rules, including complex logic, smart values, branching, and intake‑processing use cases Use advanced JQL for reporting, queue/filter design, analysis, diagnostics, migration validation, and administrative troubleshooting Assess and execute project and space migration work (within‑site and between‑cloud‑site migrations) Perform dependency and impact analysis before modifying shared workflows, screens, field configurations, permissions, and automations Work directly with internal customers to clarify requirements and recommend standards‑based solutions Document technical decisions, configurations, migration activities, and platform changes Additional Experience (Nice to Have) Atlassian Analytics dashboards and reporting Confluence cleanup and enterprise standardization initiatives Marketplace apps administration (Xray, Scheduler) GitHub integration with Jira workflows Rovo / Atlassian AI capabilities Experience in governed enterprise Atlassian environments #J-18808-Ljbffr
