What Success Looks Like In This Role Design and build backend services, APIs, and integrations that are scalable, observable, and secure Architect and implement systems using modern languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, Node.js, .NET, Go, Python) Apply principles of modularity, testing, and continuous delivery to ensure resilience and maintainability Integrate with cloud-native services and automate deployment through CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code Collaborate with frontend, platform, and data engineers to deliver complete, reliable solutions Participate in code and design reviews – raising quality through thoughtful feedback and shared learning Demonstrate ownership and urgency in delivery – communicating risks early, iterating visibly, and focusing on outcomes At higher levels: mentor peers, contribute to architectural decisions, and influence technical direction within your team Sounds great, but do my skills fit? The salary range for this role is $100,000–$150,000 CAD, reflecting expected base pay. Total compensation may also include additional pay such as bonuses or incentives, depending on the position, and final offers are based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
