Medicine Hat School District No. 76 Crescent Heights High School English Language Arts Lead Teacher An opportunity exists for a dynamic, caring, and dedicated educator in the role of 1.0 FTE Junior High ELA Lead Teacher at Crescent Heights High School. This educator will value: a strong focus on continual learning, growth, and excellence. This individual will value and have knowledge of Junior High School Redesign philosophy/practice, and will also be a positive team player who is collaborative. A student-centered paradigm, progressive research-based assessment practices, knowledge and commitment to the Collaborative Response Model are traits this educator will need to demonstrate. During their term as lead, this individual will oversee supporting new curriculum piloting and implementation as it is released in the province. They will also be tasked with supporting and implementing school and division goals. Elements of this role will include: Planning and facilitation of department professional learning once per month Instructional Leadership Team meetings twice a month The successful candidate must be aligned with the values and vision of CHHS and Medicine Hat School District No. 76. Crescent Heights High School has a student population of approximately 1100 students in Grades 7-12 and is located in the North Central area of the city.
