Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities. Citi is seeking a highly motivated Python lead in the Wholesale Credit Risk Technology team that serves Institutional Credit Management (ICM). The candidate will be a core member of the technology team responsible for implementing projects based on Python, FastAPI, MCP, LLM, Java and using latest technologies. Job Responsibilities Research and resolve complex issues, escalating as appropriate. Build enterprise‑scale highly componentized applications using Python and FastAPI. Develop and maintain Python code. Work with CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes and other containerized platforms. Interact and collaborate effectively with the development team. Communicate development progress to the Project Lead. Co‑work with onshore, offshore and matrix teams to implement business solutions. Investigate possible bug scenarios and production support issues. Use modern Python development techniques including Large Language Models, Model Context Protocol, and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) architecture. Experience developing applications in the Financial Services industry is preferred. Required Experience and Skills 6+ years of hands‑on experience building enterprise‑scale, componentized applications. Strong Python programming skills. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and containerized platforms. Good communication and collaboration skills. Prior experience in financial services technology (preferred).
