This is a unique opportunity to play a strategic leadership role on one of the most significant airport development programs underway in the country—driving complex planning activities that will influence passenger experience, operational efficiency, and long‑term capacity. The Airport team is looking for a Planning Lead to join our growing team working on one of the most important Canadian airport projects. This role is based in Toronto, Ontario and requires 100% in‑office (5 days a week). Responsibilities Lead the Planning team in delivering high‑quality airport planning activities, including concept/master planning, land‑use planning, forecasting, and flow optimization. Conduct capacity–demand gap analyses across all airport systems, from airside to groundside infrastructure, and develop actionable recommendations. Oversee terminal capacity and demand assessments, including baggage systems and related operational components. Develop activity forecasts for airside, terminal, and groundside areas to inform long‑term infrastructure strategies. Produce analytical planning reports and simulation models that reflect existing and future airport operations. Collaborate with Program Leads, PMO Services, and Technical Shared Services to ensure effective integration of planning requirements into the program. Guide and mentor team members while managing key stakeholder relationships to support successful planning outcomes. About You Minimum 15 years of experience in large capital programs in planning, development, engineering, or architecture. Minimum 5 years of experience in major international airport projects or equivalent large‑scale infrastructure programs. Expert knowledge of airport planning practices, Transport Canada standards, and methodologies for modelling, simulation, and analytical data processes. Demonstrated ability to manage teams, senior stakeholders, and strategic reporting for complex airport initiatives. Strong capability in problem‑solving, data analytics, and facilitating workshops with diverse stakeholder groups. Compensation Expected compensation for this role is between Pay Range $125,000 – $171,900 annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role.
