Position Overview We are looking for a temporary Clerical person to sit in our Truro Head office. This client‑facing role involves answering phones, speaking with clients and contractors both on the phone and in person, supporting the application process, producing tenant‑related letters, creating and processing work orders, office filing, and general office support. Minimum Experience and Education • Completed an office administration program and 3 years of related experience.• Client service orientation and strong communication skills. Responsibilities Answer phones and greet clients and contractors. Support the application process and produce tenant‑related letters. Create and process work orders. Data entry: accurately input and maintain data within departmental and government‑wide systems and databases. Maintain strict confidentiality and exercise discretion with sensitive information. Qualifications Education: Completion of a high school diploma or GED; additional education in Office Administration, Secretarial Science, or a related field is an asset. Experience: Basic to moderate level in a clerical, administrative, or office support role; experience within a government or public sector environment is an asset. Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general office equipment; database entry and management experience is an asset. Key Competencies:• Demonstrated strong organizational skills and attention to detail.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.• Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage a varied workload effectively.• Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion when dealing with confidential information.• Strong commitment to client and public service.
