ClaroNav Dental develops real-time image-guided navigation systems for precision surgery. Our systems combine 3D imaging, optical tracking, registration, visualization, and workflow guidance, and are used in clinical practices around the world. We are a small, hands-on team, so this is not a narrow task‑only role. You will own meaningful parts of the product, work directly on real clinical workflows, and see the impact of your work in the field. This role reports to the VP of R&D, Dental.Vacancy status:This posting is for a current open position.Location:Canada-based remote/hybrid role. GTA preferred, with occasional visits to our Toronto office. Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada.Compensation:CAD $90,000 to $140,000 per year, depending on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated fit.Benefits:Company-paid benefits package. What you will doBuild and ship product features end-to-end: design, implementation, testing, review, release, and support.Work on software where geometry meets healthcare: 3D math, coordinate frames, transforms, registration, visualization, and workflow logic.Implement, integrate, and maintain algorithms and workflow logic for image processing, analysis, registration, and guided-navigation workflows.Develop and improve responsive desktop user interfaces for complex clinical and technical workflows, primarily within our C#/.NET desktop application stack.Work within an existing mature codebase, diagnose complex issues, and improve reliability without disrupting clinical workflows.Raise the bar on software quality through testing, code reviews, profiling, risk‑aware engineering, and pragmatic documentation.Collaborate closely with clinicians, clinical support, QA, and product stakeholders to translate real-world needs into robust software. What we are looking forStrong software engineering ability and experience building production software. Experience with C#/.NET is preferred, especially in desktop or application‑heavy environments, but we will consider exceptional candidates from other engineering backgrounds who can quickly become productive in a C#/.NET codebase.Experience building, debugging, or improving complex user interfaces for technical workflows. Experience with desktop UI frameworks, XAML‑based technologies such as WPF or WinUI, or similar application frameworks is preferred, but not required for exceptional candidates who can quickly understand and work within an existing UI codebase.Strong problem‑solving ability in 3D math, including linear algebra, coordinate transforms, geometry, and numerical stability.Ability to work independently: you can break down ambiguous problems, propose practical solutions, and execute with minimal supervision.Strong debugging instincts and comfort reading, understanding, and improving existing code.A builder mindset: proactive, accountable, practical, motivated to ship high‑quality software, and comfortable using modern development tools, including AI‑assisted workflows, to move faster without compromising quality.Strong technical foundation in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent experience.Nice to haveProfessional experience with C#/.NET, WPF, WinUI, or other desktop application frameworks.Experience with medical imaging, surgical navigation, 3D visualization, graphics‑heavy applications, or real‑time systems.Familiarity with image registration, segmentation, DICOM, CT/CBCT, coordinate systems, optical tracking, or calibration workflows.Experience with performance profiling, multi‑threading, GPU concepts, hardware integration, or systems that interact with external devices.Experience in regulated, clinical, safety‑critical, or high‑reliability software environments. You may be a strong fit if You enjoy understanding how software behaves in the real world, not only writing new features. You are comfortable reading unfamiliar code, debugging difficult issues, asking good questions, and taking ownership until the problem is solved. You do not need to have worked in dental software before. What matters most is strong engineering judgment, technical curiosity, careful implementation, and the ability to learn complex systems.#J-18808-Ljbffr
