Your Opportunity We are looking for a Financial Planner to join our Wealth Management team. This is a replacement position and the successful candidate will be responsible for: Processing client data and completing data entry in financial planning software Identifying financial planning needs and solutions for clients by considering the client’s wealth, life goals and other objectives Serving as a resource for clients with needs in financial planning, investments, insurance, tax management, executive compensation, retirement analysis, estate planning, philanthropy and business succession planning Developing recommendations and identifying areas of opportunity to assist clients in achieving their financial goals Other financial planning tasks, including—but not limited to—meeting preparation, RRSP, RESP and TFSA account tracking, research assignments, preparing report packages, and other duties as assigned Ad hoc duties and projects as required Success Criteria You demonstrate BDO's core values through all aspects of your work: Integrity, Respect and Collaboration You understand your client’s industry, challenges, and opportunities; clients describe you as positive, professional, and delivering high‑quality work You identify, recommend, and are focused on effective service delivery to your clients You share in an inclusive and engaging work environment that develops, retains and attracts talent You actively participate in the adoption of digital tools and strategies to drive an innovative workplace You grow your expertise through learning and professional development Your Experience and Education Be pursuant to or have completed the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation 3+ years of experience in the wealth/financial planning industry is preferred (in banking, insurance, investment related workplace) Inquisitive, curious attitude by continuously asking questions and looking for opportunities to make improvements You ideally have experience utilizing planning software and are proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision The expected range of compensation for this role is $76,000 - $114,000 annually. #J-18808-Ljbffr
