Overview The Business Analyst plays a key role in the SDLC process by understanding business needs and translating them into clear, actionable requirements for technology teams. We are seeking a detail-oriented IT Business Analyst who thrives at the intersection of business and technology, ensuring solutions accurately reflect business processes and objectives. This role involves analyzing complex information and collaborating across teams to deliver impactful results. IT Business Analyst II (BA) Preferred Experience and Qualifications: 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT or software development environments, with a strong understanding of IT operations and business processes (retail/service preferred). Proven ability to gather, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements, including creating BRDs, user stories, and other clear project documentation. Strong analytical skills to assess system issues, identify root causes, evaluate change impacts, and collaborate with technical teams to recommend effective solutions. Hands‑on experience working in Agile/Scrum teams, managing backlogs and user stories, and supporting SDLC delivery using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Visio. Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting insights through workshops, visualizations, written summaries, and facilitating stakeholder sessions and UAT. Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities Requirements & Business Understanding Translate enterprise retail and service goals into clear, testable, and prioritized requirements. Lead stakeholder discovery to understand current operations and customer journeys; identify pain points, risks, and automation opportunities. Define business rules, compliance needs, and success metrics. Produce delivery‑ready artifacts (BRD, FRS, User Stories) aligned to Agile/Hybrid execution. Process Analysis & Optimization Analyze end‑to‑end enterprise processes across retail, service, and back‑office functions. Document AS‑IS workflows, identify gaps and inefficiencies, and design TO‑BE processes that improve scalability, service quality, and consistency. Deliver clear process, use‑case, and data‑flow documentation to support decisions. Business — IT Collaboration Act as the bridge between business and IT to ensure shared understanding and delivery alignment. Facilitate discussions, resolve ambiguity, and communicate insights through concise visuals and summaries. Partner with product, delivery, and operations teams to validate solutions against real‑world needs. Testing & Validation Support Ensure requirements are testable and traceable. Support UAT, validate end‑to‑end scenarios, document defects, and confirm solutions meet business rules, compliance, and operational readiness prior to release. Change & Impact Management Assess and manage requirement changes with clear visibility to scope, cost, risk, and timeline impacts. Maintain documentation and traceability, communicate changes proactively, and evaluate downstream impacts on training, support, and adoption. Core Capabilities Strong enterprise retail/service domain knowledge, requirements translation, process modelling, impact analysis, and data‑driven problem solving, with hands‑on experience in SDLC/Agile and tools such as JIRA.
