Overview We’re looking to hire a Senior Associate, Corporate Development at RFA Financial Inc. This position reports directly into the Chief Operating Officer (COO). This role sits at the center of the company's strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will work directly with senior leadership on evaluating acquisitions, developing board-level strategic materials, and supporting the execution and integration of transactions across the RFA platform. The position is designed for high-performing professionals with experience in investment banking, management consulting, or corporate development/investment roles who are looking to apply their analytical and transaction experience within a dynamic operating platform. They will be known for their exceptional financial modelling capabilities, advanced PowerPoint storytelling, and the ability to create high-quality board presentations, investment committee materials, and deal pitches that support strategic decision-making. Responsibilities Transaction Analysis and Financial Modelling: Advanced financial modelling capabilities to build and maintain complex models (DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions, and accretion/dilution analysis) to evaluate mergers, acquisitions, partnerships and other strategic opportunities; evaluate financial performance, value drivers, and potential synergies across prospective transactions. Strategic Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial, market, and strategic analysis; translate insights into executive-level recommendations; assess strategic fit, long-term value creation, and risk considerations for potential transactions; collaborate with leadership to evaluate priorities and opportunities; prepare deal materials and strategic narratives, including why this deal makes sense. Board and Executive Materials: Prepare high-quality presentations and investment memoranda for senior leadership and the Board; translate complex analyses into clear narratives that support executive decision making. Transaction Execution: Support the execution of transactions including due diligence coordination, financial analysis, and internal workstream management; work closely with legal, finance, and external advisors throughout the deal process. Post-Transaction Integration: Assist in planning and tracking post-merger integration initiatives; support leadership in ensuring acquisitions deliver expected strategic and financial outcomes. Special Projects: Manage project timelines, organize workstreams, support the team with project coordination and administrative activities; contribute to broader corporate development and strategy initiatives; support the full M&A lifecycle; build and manage a capital allocation model; support FP&A and the Corporate Development Team on developing KPIs and return calculations and forward-looking sensitivities and scenarios. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, private equity, and/or corporate development/investments. Experience supporting or executing M&A transactions and strategic investments. Exposure to financial services is essential. Real estate is an asset but not required. Technical Capabilities Advanced financial modelling skills with the ability to build flexible, decision-grade models, including DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions, and accretion/dilution analysis. High proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel. Strategic Thinking Corporate development is not just about numbers. Executive Communication Exceptional ability to synthesize complex analysis into clear, concise materials for senior executives and boards, including building compelling PowerPoint presentations, investment memos, and deal pitches. M&A Process Management Understanding the end-to-end transaction lifecycle—from target screening and due diligence to deal execution and post-merger integration—is essential.
