This role supports financial operations in the marketing business unit at Loblaw Companies Limited, ensuring accuracy, reporting, and process improvement across enterprise marketing (operations and administration). Roles and Responsibilities: Support enterprise budgeting and forecasting of marketing operations and administration spend; interacting with VP’s, brand leads, and marketing teams. Support in the reporting of periodic/quarterly results, as well as ad‑hoc reporting and presentations to brand managers. Support the enterprise marketing teams in financial reporting, planning and analysis. Prepare and own periodic marketing accrual and journal entries. Monitor day‑to‑day financial operations within the marketing business unit, such as accounts payable, invoicing, and other transactions. Support minimizing financial risk to the company by exploring opportunities to improve marketing spend efficiency and effectiveness. Drive process improvement and efficiency across total enterprise marketing (operations and administration). Maintain financial policies and procedures for the marketing finance team. Own the category billing process to receive funds that offset marketing expenses (e.g., vendor‑funded programs). Leverage AI to automate finance workflows and support marketing analytics. Assist with the development of KPIs and ongoing reporting. Handle ad‑hoc requests as needed. Qualifications: 2–3 years of previous work experience in Finance, Accounting, Business or equivalent. University degree in Business, Accounting or Finance. CPA/MBA or enrollment in these programs preferred. Experience with financial stewardship, process and efficiency improvement, and strong financial modelling skills. Strong technical skills and ability to work with large amounts of data. Experience with SQL, SAP, PowerBI and AI tools is an asset. Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, concise presentations. Ability to deal with ambiguity and make intelligent assumptions. Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships. Strong personal responsibility, honesty, and integrity. Ability to work well under pressure and effectively communicate with personnel at all levels of the organization. Experience in process design and systems integration considered an asset. Superior analytical and problem‑solving skills, with strong attention to detail. Hiring Range: $60,000 – $82,500 per year. We are committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
