Job Title: Collection Partnerships Manager Position Type: Permanent Full -Time About Us Encorp Pacific (Canada), better known as Return-It, is a British Columbia based federally incorporated, not-for-profit, product stewardship corporation with beverage container management as our core business. Our mandate is to develop, manage and improve systems to recover used beverage containers and end-of-life products from consumers and ensure that they are properly recycled and not land-filled or incinerated.Encorp's evolving collection network consists of 180+ Return-It collection locations across BC. Job Overview Encorp is seeking a dynamic and strategic Collection Partnerships Manager (Non-Traditional Collection Sites) to support the expansion of our collection network through innovative, non-traditional retail and commercial partnerships. This role focuses on strategy, negotiation, and relationship development rather than traditional depot or Express & Go siting. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, negotiating, and establishing a portfolio of non-traditional collection sites that enhance customer convenience, expand Return-It’s physical footprint, and support operational efficiency. Strong business development, analytical, and stakeholder management skills are essential to success in this role. Key Responsibilities Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies to identify, evaluate, and secure new non-traditional partners for Return-It collection points. Business Development: Build and manage a diverse portfolio of non-traditional clients and partners by prospecting new relationships, leveraging existing contacts, and piloting new collection site concepts for research and development purposes. Negotiation & Contracting: Source, negotiate, and finalize partnership agreements, ensuring alignment with Encorp policies, legal requirements, and long‑term strategic objectives. Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders at partner organizations to support long‑term success and identify opportunities for expansion of Return-It Express and other non‑traditional collection sites. Market & Data Analysis: Analyze internal data, market research, consumer trends, and the deposit return system (DRS) landscape to assess demand, forecast site volumes, and inform strategic decisions. Operational Coordination: Collaborate closely with Operations, Logistics, Marketing, IT, Finance, and other internal teams to ensure new collection sites are operationally ready and seamlessly integrated. Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track site performance against key performance indicators (KPIs), identify risks and growth opportunities, and provide clear, data‑driven reporting to leadership. Training & Support: Support and educate internal field sales teams and/or retail partner staff on program features, benefits, and operational procedures related to non‑traditional collection sites. *Duties and responsibilities may evolve based on business needs. Qualifications & Experience Proven experience (3–5+ years) in business development, retail management, sales, channel partnerships, or a related field involving B2B negotiations and account management. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales & Marketing, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience). Demonstrated success in building and managing external partnerships and negotiating commercial agreements. Experience working cross‑functionally with internal teams to deliver complex initiatives. Knowledge of sustainability, recycling, or environmental programs is considered an asset. Strong negotiation, persuasion, and influencing skills. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Strategic and analytical thinker with the ability to interpret data and market trends. Creative problem‑solver who thrives in a dynamic and evolving environment. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Comfortable using technology, CRM tools, and data analysis platforms to inform decision‑making. High degree of independence, accountability, and results orientation. Compensation Salary Range: $105,000 – $135,000 per year Discretionary Performance bonus: 15% Work Schedule & Travel 37.5 hours a week Monday to Friday from 8am – 4pm May require after‑hours availability to meet with existing and potential partners. Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and access to a personal vehicle. Willingness to travel 1-2 days per week on average to assess potential partnerships and collection sites across BC.
