Job Description The Supply Chain Planner & Analyst is responsible for supporting demand and supply activities across BD-Canada in collaboration with Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Transportation. The Supply Chain Planner manages the demand plan (forecast) and supply for designated business segments and participates in key processes such as Demand to Supply (DTS), Business to S&OP (BTS), and Source to Pay (STP) for inventory purchases. This role applies continuous improvement principles to meet key performance indicators, update Supply Chain Management (SCM) with long‑term demand planning aligned to business growth, and drive cost‑to‑service efficiencies. Supply chain planning occurs in a real‑time environment, requiring confidence with timely decisions and execution to respond to change daily. Job Responsibilities Lead and/or work with components of the Integrated Business Process (IBP) process, including consensus forecasting, financial planning and product life cycle management. Understand the requirements of major internal and external customers and determine how BD’s supply chain offering will align with the needs and requirements of assigned BD business units. Ensure the supply chain operates to meet the needs of all of BD’s customers on a consistent basis. Key performance measures include forecast accuracy, backorder, on‑time shipment, line fill and DIOH. Maintain minimum on‑hand inventory to meet required service levels, drive reduction of excess & obsolete inventories and provide solutions to decrease write‑offs as well as inventory management toward reduction of overstock. Perform ongoing analysis, maintenance, and upgrades of SAP/SCM supply planning. Open opportunities for business process improvements in Source‑to‑Pay and Demand‑to‑Supply (e.g., purchasing by exception and consensus forecasting) for planning/purchasing. Provide recommendations for the development and implementation of supply chain network and master data changes, which can enhance service and reduce costs. Managing the supply chain will include analysis to make recommendations for changes to the network and sourcing. Act as a business partner to Marketing/Sales. Work in a team environment to optimize the tools and processes that BD is developing in the supply chain. Maintain, update, and create shared Supply Chain related SOPs as needed within an evolving environment. Act as a regional representative to adopt and apply processes from Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) such as the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, the Sales and Execution Planning (S&OE) process toward operational excellence. Education and Experience required University Degree. Minimum of 2+ years of professional supply chain experience working in a matrix environment. Knowledge and Skills required Must be able to communicate confidently and effectively in English, verbally and in writing. Strong understanding of business processes, including supply chain, forecasting, purchasing, inventory management, and transportation activities. Demonstrates planning skills; able to recommend and implement sustainable supply chain solutions to drive operational excellence and performance improvements. Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and curious, with strong analytical skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Shows initiative with the ability to anticipate needs, make recommendations, and take appropriate action. Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines. Proven experience in continuous process improvement. Strong reconciliation and problem‑solving skills, able to evaluate options and implement effective solutions. Skilled at interacting with multiple functions, regions, and stakeholders. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint) with advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP). General knowledge of MRP planning systems or aptitude to learn technical applications quickly. Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the confidence to clearly articulate insights, risks, and recommendations to cross‑functional stakeholders, make rapid decisions, and lead without formal authority. Preferred qualifications Experience working with CPGs, medical device, pharmaceutical and/or retail industries. APICS certification (CPIM/CSCP or equivalent). ERP knowledge with JDE or Kinaxis. Solution‑oriented and project management skills. Proficient with Power BI. Excel macros to support analysis and reporting. Bilingual in French.
